Drum roll please!
Yesterday we had a wonderful visit to radiology where we had what they call the "big" ultra sound. So this is it, this should be the last time we get to see our beautiful baby before the big day. The radiologist listened intently to my sorrowful story about how we found out about the pregnancy kind of late, and how I only had 1 little picture to look at, but my other pregnant friends had a few pictures to look at, and we left his office with not the usual 2 pictures, but instead we had 4 pictures! Woo Hoo! So here we go...
The baby was yawning when it first appeared on the screen, and never really closed its cute little mouth throughout the whole visit...
Here's a closer view of the last photo. The egg shaped blog near the mouth is an arm. Look at the slope on that little nose!!
I like to call this one Peetz Feetz. I actually thought we walked out of the office with three photos, but this one was stuck to the back of another photo and surprised me when I found it as I was looking excitedly through the photos again in the car. CUTE!!!! Now get ready, because here's our grand finale...
Look at those lips! Those are some Riley lips if I ever saw them. This is a 3-D image of the baby. Sorry if the arm looks a little scary to some, but I think it's absolutely amazing! We saw all of the vital organs (they're developing properly) and we saw all of the skeletal structures, too. When the baby first came on the screen we could see its little heart beating, and we could even see all four chambers! This was an absolutely amazing experience! It was even better after the radiologist let me up to pee! Now I know you're all wondering whether it is a boy or a girl, but we have changed our minds and decided to hold out for the ultimate surprise. I know some of you may think that green and yellow are boring colors, but there are so many other sexually ambigious colors to choose from! There are oranges and reds and blues and purples to combine with the greens and yellows for the developing he/she baby. Keep checking back, because we'll be going on more adventures around Oregon, and soon I'm sure we'll all be able to tell that I'm preggers.
:-)

Finally! I am so excited to see my new grandbaby...he/she can't help but be beautiful, look at the parents.
I couldn't be prouder of anything in my life and cannot wait to hold the newest "litte bean".
Tell the baby often that "Nana loves him/her so much"
